When a plumber joins our network, we pull their license number directly from the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Plumbers and Gas Fitters public records. Every license is checked for active status, any disciplinary actions, and expiration dates. This means when you see a license badge on a plumber’s profile, it reflects current, verified compliance—not just self-reported info.
We perform ongoing checks quarterly and whenever a plumber updates their profile, so licenses remain current. If a license lapses or is suspended, the plumber is removed from the directory immediately. This approach helps protect Boston homeowners from hiring unlicensed or non-compliant workers, especially critical in older homes where code violations can pose serious safety risks.
All plumbers in our directory must provide their Massachusetts license number during onboarding. Our team manually cross-references each entry with the state’s official registry.
